I ordered these because we lost one of another style clip during our last move.My favorite thing about these weight clips is that they are magnetic. I tend to store my barbells completely empty, so the clips can end up getting lost. This is a nice solution because now I can attach them right to the side of my power rack. These are a bit slimmer than the other clips that I’ve owned, but the grip space seems to be about the same. One downside to the thinner size is that it can be difficult to access the release clip. It butts right up against to your weight plate. With larger clips there’s usually a little bit of space on either side for you to release the catch.I also find that the clipping mechanism doesn’t have a definite catching point. In other words it closes, but it doesn’t seem to snap into place. I count on that snapping sound to make sure that my clip is securely fastened. Without that “snap”, I don’t feel confident in using these clips for higher weight loads. The clips are fairly easy to release, so they might be good with somebody lifting small quantities who also has arthritis.
Very nice quality low profile dual side magnetic barbell collars from Synergee.Quick-release works smooth and rubber slides easy on olympic barbell sleeve , thankfully not too tight almost one hand operation. Lock kept plates secured.Best part and very under-rated imo its DUAL SIDE MAGNET not just one , so no need to choose side , just slap them on your rack , easy to find and put them quickly. Magnets are pretty strong.Material is plastic so be judicious how you use. I dont drop my loaded barbells in gym so not as much a concern. But if you do drop then be mindful it might not survive. Also with heavy one side loads , plates moved. Will reach out to seller if its normal or got a defective but thats what I observe. That said for regular lifting need and such good price point (18 dollars at time of ordering) these are pretty good olympic barbell collars and can recommend without any hesitation.
These barbell weight collars are a great upgrade from the standard spring clips. They lock on tight and don’t budge, even during heavier lifts or dynamic movements like deadlifts and cleans. I’ve noticed a big difference in stability—no more plates shifting or rattling mid-set.They’re also super easy to use. The quick-release lever makes changing weights fast and hassle-free, which is a huge plus during workouts where you’re moving quickly between sets. The build quality feels solid and durable, not cheap or flimsy like some others I’ve tried.Overall, they do exactly what you want them to do—keep your weights secure and your focus on lifting. Definitely worth it for anyone serious about their training.
These are amazing. They actually work as described. As shown in the photos attached I added weight to the bar with these clamps and stood it straight in the air and it held the weight in place without slipping. The days of pinching the old metal spring collars is OVER. Highly recommended.
I'm not going to lie, I ordered these mainly for the color because my home gym is primarily black and red, so they fit in perfectly. I have other quick barbell collars, and I’m happy to report these are also on par with my other name-brand sets. Obviously, I love the color, but these actually work very well, and the magnetic feature sets them apart from the others I have. They add the versatility of being able to store them on the side of a bench or a machine, plus, if you’re not using them, they can click together, and you never have to worry about losing one but not the other. It's an all-or-nothing gamble. They fit snuggly around the bars and snap into place. No worries about them coming loose. The plastic they're made out of seems to be quality and well-built. Overall, I’m pretty happy with them and think they're a decent deal at the price point.
I ordered these and honestly didn’t think I’d care as much as I do—but these are awesome. Such a nice upgrade from the standard spring clips. The quick-release lever makes taking them on and off super fast, especially when you’re moving through sets or swapping weights during classes. The built-in magnets are a feature I didn’t realize I needed until I had them. Being able to stick them right onto the rack keeps everything organized and within reach—no more hunting around or leaving clips all over the place. That alone is a game changer in a busy gym setting. They lock down tight on the bar and feel secure during lifts—no slipping or shifting. They’re lightweight but still feel durable, and the 2” Olympic fit is spot on.Overall, super convenient, well-designed, and a solid value for the money. Definitely one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference.
These 2" Olympic weight clamps are perfect for quick and easy changing of weight plates . For years, I have used the old 'screw' type of clamps, they hold well, but take so much time to change your plates around. Then I tried the 'spring' type ones, they were quick, but the weights would tend to move around, which is not only annoying but dangerous. Then, after some searching around, I found these, and they are a godsend. They allow you to change your weight plates on your Olympic bars quickly and easily. Once you slide them on the bar, you simply push the lever down, and then they lock in place. Brilliant! And they stay in place till you open the lever. They are built very well, a nice, high-quality product that will last for years of use in the gym. The best part was that they are not expensive, for what you get, they are the bargain of the century. So if you spend time lifting weights and use 2" olympic bars, you need these clamps. These quality clips will save you a ton of time for weight changes and keep you safe for very little out of your pocket. What more could you want?
Works amazing and very convenient magnetic hold so when you’re loading more weight you don’t have to putting them out of reach.
These magnetic barbell collars are a great addition to any home or commercial gym setup. They are very easy to use and quickly secure onto the bar with a strong clip mechanism, making changing weights faster and more convenient. The collars feel well made and durable, with a sturdy construction that holds up well during regular workouts. The non-slip design keeps them securely in place, even when using heavier bumper plates or performing more intense lifts.I like that they fit standard gym equipment, including 2 inch Olympic bars, making them versatile for different weight setups. The strong magnetic feature is a great bonus because it allows for easy storage and keeps the collars attached to metal equipment when not in use. They are also compact and portable, making them easy to bring to the gym or store at home without taking up much space.Overall, these magnetic barbell collars are a high quality, durable, and convenient upgrade for weight training. They are easy to use, secure, and a great value for anyone who wants reliable barbell collars.
Seems great so far! I've used these about 10 times now for my workouts.I do have a small concern with how long they will last though, their durability is questionable. I can see the plastic start to bend already 😬The magnets aren't super strong, but they are strong enough to attach to the squat racks at my gym, which is all I needed. They are pretty small and portable, and look great too. Adds plenty of stability for plates.
These collars are awesome and one of those gym accessories you don’t realize you need until you have them. They lock onto the bar securely and give me confidence that my plates aren’t going anywhere during lifts. The quick-release lever makes loading and unloading plates fast and easy, which is especially nice when doing supersets or changing weights frequently. My favorite feature is the built-in magnets. Instead of leaving the collars on the floor or hunting for them between sets, I can stick them right onto my squat rack when they’re not in use. It’s such a simple idea, but it makes a huge difference in keeping my gym space organized.
The quick-release lever operates smoothly even with sweaty hands. Built-in magnets stick firmly to rack uprights between sets. Plastic construction avoids damaging barbell knurling over time. Locking mechanism holds plates tight through drops and heavy lifts. Fits standard Olympic sleeves without wobbling or slipping.
The Synergee Magnetic Barbell Collars are a great upgrade from standard clips. They lock onto Olympic bars tightly and stay secure even during heavy lifts, which gives a lot of confidence when training. The quick-release lever makes them super easy to put on and take off, saving time between sets compared to traditional spring collars. They feel smooth to use but still very sturdy once locked in place. The built-in magnets are a really nice feature—they let you stick the collars directly onto a rack or machine when not in use, so you’re not constantly misplacing them or letting them roll around the gym floor. The plastic construction feels strong and durable without being overly heavy, and they fit snugly on a standard 2” Olympic barbell with no slipping.Overall, these are reliable, convenient, and well-designed barbell collars that make workouts smoother and more efficient. A solid choice for anyone who lifts regularly and wants something quick, secure, and easy to use.
These Synergee Magnetic Barbell Collars are one of those gym accessories you don’t realize you needed until you use them. The quick-release lever makes changing plates super fast and easy, and once they’re locked on, they stay secure without sliding around during lifts. The built-in magnets are honestly my favorite feature. Being able to stick them directly onto the rack when not in use keeps everything organized and saves me from hunting for collars around the gym. Such a simple idea but incredibly convenient. They’re lightweight but still feel durable and solid, and they fit my 2” Olympic bar perfectly. Great for squats, deadlifts, bench, or any heavy lifting session. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade over standard spring clips.
These collars have been a great addition to my garage gym because the locking lever feels crisp and stays secure even during bouncy deadlift sessions. The built-in magnets are the real highlight, allowing me to stick them directly to my power rack uprights so they are always at eye level when I need to swap plates. The plastic casing feels durable enough to handle being dropped, though I noticed the magnets work best when you place them carefully against a flat metal surface. If you just toss them at the rack, they might not grab immediately, but taking an extra second to set them properly keeps my workout space much more organized.Pros:- Lever is easy to flip with one hand even when tired- Magnets eliminate the need for extra storage pegs- Very secure grip on the bar with no noticeable slidingCons:- Magnets are slightly recessed so they need a flat surface to stick well- Initial locking motion is quite stiff until you break them in
I’ve used a lot of standard barbell collars, and the built-in magnets are what make these stand out. Being able to stick them directly to the rack when they’re not in use is actually really convenient and keeps them from getting lost. The quick-release lever is easy to use and locks down securely on Olympic bars. They held plates in place well during lifts without sliding around. The plastic feels durable enough for regular home gym use, and the gray color looks clean. The magnets are stronger than I expected and stayed attached to my rack without an issue.Overall, a simple but smart upgrade if you’re tired of misplacing your collars between sets.
I regret beginning this review by having to admit that I’m an idiot. I have a small workout gym in my basement which includes a weight bench and barbells. Nobody ever told me that there were two sizes to the barbells. Obviously, the one I have is not an Olympic size.It is really unfortunate that these collars wouldn’t work on my barbell because they really look good. The quick-release lever is a huge upgrade over metal locking collars like I have on my barbells. The plastic construction feels durable and lightweight at the same time. These look to be reliable, convenient, and thoughtfully designed collars that will do exactly what you need them to do. As a rating, for me this would be a one star but that wouldn't be fair because based on my look and feel of these collars, they are easily five star worthy.

I’ve gone through a few pairs of the standard plastic "clamping" collars, and while they usually work fine, I’m notorious for losing them in my garage gym. I’ll set them on a bench or the floor, and they just vanish into the abyss mid-workout.The magnetic feature on these Synergee collars is honestly a game-changer for organization. I just slap them onto the uprights of my power rack when I’m changing plates. They stay right at eye level, and the magnets are surprisingly strong—they don't slide down the steel even with the vibration of reracking the bar.I tested these with some heavy deadlifts and a few sets of power cleans. No sliding. They lock down tight on a standard 2" Olympic sleeve. The quick-release lever is smooth. It doesn't feel like I'm going to snap my thumb off trying to unlock it, which has been an issue with cheaper brands I've used. They’re plastic, yes, but it’s that heavy-duty, high-impact stuff. They feel solid in the hand.If you have a specialty bar with slightly thinner sleeves (like some cheaper threaded bars), they might have a tiny bit of play, but on my Rogue and Rep bars, the fit is airtight. If you’re tired of tripping over your collars or digging through a gym bag to find them, get these. The magnets are worth the couple extra bucks alone.Magnets are strong, easy-open lever, secure fit. Dont weigh much and easy to use!
These barbell collars are great. They are so much better than your standard spring collars that are harder to put on and take off easily. I also have a pair of autolock clamps which is also really fast but sometimes it's hard to unlock it. I love the magnetic feature so that you can place them on your rack. I also got the red color so they are nice a visible so you don't lose them. They stay in place really well and don't budge at all. The only thing I would change is how smooth the surface of the clamp is. It makes it a little more slippery, and harder to get a good grip on it. I wish it had some bumps or grooves so you can grip it better. I feel like I have to focus a bit more in getting it off, so not great if you are being timed and need to switch plates quickly. They are slim and lightweight. The magnetic feature also keeps them together so you don't have to sift through your gym bag looking for each one since they stick together.
These 2 inch barbell clamps are really nice. The old tension style clamps can go. These take up about half the space on the bar. That matters when you are trying to fit more plates without crowding everything. The clamping action is simple and solid. They lock on without a fight and stay where you put them. I have not had any shifting during lifts, which is what matters most. The magnetic feature is the standout. You can stick them on the rack between sets and they are always right there. It sounds minor but it actually makes a difference over time. Build quality feels good for what they are. They are lightweight but not cheap. The lever has a solid feel and opens and closes clean. Reliability and safety mean a lot when it comes to heavy weight and these have big claims. That reliability, durability and safety will be tested over time. Overall value very good.
