Nice, except paint wears off quickly

I’m upping my weight lifting game but I have a huge collection of 1” plates and really don’t want to switch to 2” Olympic. This started my search for good quality 1” barbells that have a decent weight rating, at least as much as I’m likely to need. I landed at this barbell. I bought two in different lengths. They seem nicely made, were well packaged, and feel good to lift with. My only minor complaint is that after less than 2 weeks of use, the blue paint is wearing off the bar where it rests on the rack j-hooks. Note that my rack is a brand new Titan model and the j-hooks and spotter arms are fully covered in hard plastic anywhere the bar touches. There is no metal on metal contact that would damage the paint. Aside from the paint coming off, I’m happy with the bars.

6' Barbell

I got the 6 foot Barbell, great condition and heavy duty no doubt, it's a perfect fit for my Olympic bench press..MOST importantly it's for 1 inch weights so it's great knowing I didn't have to purchase new 2 inch weights!! Again, this is a great bar BUT it DID NOT come with the clips lol..for that I gave it a 4 star rating. Would love them clips lol

Very Solid Barbell

Did alot of research to try to locate a good 1" standard bar 6ft in length. Paid a little bit more than I wanted, but glad I did!! Very solid/sturdy barbell. Any skepticism/uneasiness that I had about putting over 300lbs on a 1" bar has evaporated with this baby!!

7” bar is awesome for my bench & plates.

This bar works great with my 1” plates. I am using it for an Olympic size bench and for Dead lifts. I am so happy that found this bar. Otherwise I would have had to buy all new 2” plates which would have been expensive. I like the grip and the finish.

The bar itself is great and arrived in perfect shape. Unfortunately, it was missing the collar clips that were supposed to be included.EDIT:Emailed customer service and they have shipped me replacement collars. Super easy process. Much appreciated!

Nice weight

When getting back into free weights once again, I had to remind myself that I needed to include the weight of the bar along with the plates. This bar came in at around 17 lbs by itself. So I felt a bit better knowing I was actually lifting a tad more than what I thought. Mine is a 6 footer and though it is a bit wide it still can be used on my smaller Marcy weight bench I just bought. Solid and weighty for what its suppose to be used for. Love it!!

Standard Barbell

With my home gym setup (10 x 12 room) my old 45 lb olympic barbell was a bit unwieldy, plus I had sold all my plates and bar during the pandemic. This 7’ bar is much easier to maneuver in a small room plus I can make use of my investment in 1” standard plates. Another benefit is this bar is rated to 350 lb when most competitors are limited to 250. Great add to my home gym setup!

2nd only to the York Beefy Bar

There are not a lot of quality 1" 7ft bars nowadays. Most are lower priced and the quality often reflects that. This Synergee bar has all the right measurements for heavy power rack use and the build quality is excellent. The knurling is just right and mine came straight as an arrow (verified by a laser line). I've loaded it with 350lbs without any bending and suspect it can hold quite a bit more. The only bar I've owned that was better was the UK version of the York Beefy Bar (which seems too costly/difficult to import to the US now). The York had an olympic diameter grip but other than that this bar is a close second.

Not a One Inch Bar

I purchased this bar in lieu of others because I thought Synergee was a good company. I am disappointed because the bar specified as 1” is closer to 7/8”. That means that plates, collars and fat grips don’t fit right but what is most important is trust. When a company says a spec is one thing but we discover it is actually something else, that company loses credibility, as it should. The word nominal is never mentioned and a specification is just that; specific. RitFit does the same thing with its 28mm EZ curl bar (actually 25mm) and I won’t purchase anything from either company again.
